Region EM&APAC is responsible for Marketing, Sales and Aftermarket business of Marine and Industrial Power Systems in more than 130 Countries in the world. EM&APAC is the largest one, in geographical terms, of our three Regions at Volvo Penta, with a turnover of approximately 2.5 billion SEK, and 170 people located in 9 Countries, worldwide.
What we do:
The Business Control function is responsible for business control and credit control for the region. This includes monthly forecast and follow-up of the regional result analysing product and customer profitability. Within the scope is also evaluation of customer risk and creating finance solutions. The function is working in close cooperation supporting the management team and our market units. We take part in projects supporting continuous improvements.
What will you do:
• Improve sales analysis and customer and product profit analysis.
• Establish a report structure for the region based on data warehouse in close cooperation with sales and business control.
• The work is done in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders and the notions of Support, Challenge and Control are present in the daily work.
• We can offer you an internship in a truly commercial environment supporting an international team.
Internship length and start date:
• Preferred start on boarding: March 2017
• 4-5 months
Education
• 1st choice: Master 1 year, Master in Finance
What you need to have:
• This specific internship position is open to all students except Sweden, since this is an international program.
• Students in the US, Sweden, Japan and France: You are in your 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor degree or 1st year of a Master degree in your university career.
• Students in China and India: You are in your 3rd year of a Bachelor degree or 1st year of a Master degree in your university career.
• Able to work independently and take own initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and high level of excel knowledge.
• Good business understanding and preferably relevant work experience.
• Evidence of leadership experience and/or community service.
• Strong grade point average
• Proficiency in English
• Engaged and open personality, involvement in community work and/or student networks.
• Team player with passion for new experiences
• Interest in the Volvo Group and in sharing internship experience with fellow students
• Valid passport
• Demonstrate the Volvo group values - customer success, passion, performance, change, and trust
