We currently have the following job opening;

System engineer Transmission

The Powertrain Engineering unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The Propulsion Hardware Module Team is responsible for the development of new global transmissions from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions will be the main technology for the Geely group. The development is carried out by several parties inside Geely group as well as by external contractors.

As system engineer within Transmission Module Team, you will work with system development such as oil system, shifting system, clutch system, complete transmission system according to system requirements. You will carry on the design from concept decision, through releases, testing and industrialization of the solution.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Be responsible for managing transmission attributes & requirements at transmission complete level. Example of main transmission attributes: durability, efficiency, NVH, weight, drivability, shift quality, serviceability, packaging,
- Follow-up work at different transmission systems (hardware) to fulfill complete transmission attributes & requirements.
- Have an overall control/overview of status of transmission attributes & requirements at complete level
- Lead work for the efficiency road map à Responsible for time, cost and implementation of existing and future measures to improve transmission efficiency. The main driver for a DCT transmission is efficiency.
- Be responsible for the creation/management/maintenance of transmission technical specifications at complete transmission level.
- Should be able to function as a Task force leader/System project leader
- Act as a technical reference in your field

Requirements

- M Sc. or similar
- Experience in mechanical design in the field of transmission developments is a merit
- Experience in mechatronic systems
- Experience of working in PLM systems, preferable Teamcenter
- Experience of working in CAD - ProE/Creo is a merit
- Experience of working a multi-cultural team is a merit
- Fluent in English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Ability to work in a structured way
- Ability to be proactive & make things happen
- Ability to lead part development in a changing environment
- Ability to develop & apply solutions to complex problems
