We currently have the following job opening;

Design Engineer, Front & Rear Closures

We are now looking for a Design Engineer within Body & Exterior Closures. This is an assignment in the Front & Rear team. The Front & Rear team is responsible for parts like Hood, Fender, Hinges, License Plate, Latches and Tailgate.

As Design Engineer you will be responsible for the development of a specific set of parts/systems for a specific of parts within a defined project.

The work principles within the Front & Rear team are flexibility and the possibility to use what you excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation. This means that you as part of a larger team will support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.

Responsibilities and tasks

- You will be responsible for development of parts/system
- Secure timely deliveries with right quality
- Develop system design solutions to meet project requirements
- Secure technical input/part criteria together with Vehicle Package, Attribute leaders and Product Design
- Incorporate and loop tooling feedback from supplier in close cooperation with System Engineer
- Secure interfaces and participate in mechanical and electrical/SW integration meetings
- Secure technical fulfillment as defined by the System Engineer
- Secure lessons learned through the System Manager for future projects

Requirements

- Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or the equivalent experience
- 5-10 years' experience in Catia V5 and Team Center (TCe) within automotive
- Plastic and steel design and process know-how
- Pragmatic approach to issue solving
- Strong strive for cooperation
- Structured and well organized
- Experience with the system area is beneficial
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures
