Are you a Software Engineer with experience in mobile-app development? We are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic Developer to join our Android team in Göteborg.

The Opera for Android team builds one of our flagship products, our Android browser, with more than 100 million downloads across the world. You will be working in very close collaboration with some of the best engineers in the industry, and we offer an environment with international colleagues, customers and end users.

Responsibilities:

Your mission will be to contribute to the development of the Opera for Android browser working mainly on the frontend.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a keen interest in technology
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as being creative and curious
• An understanding of modern Android development and passion for quality
• Autonomous working style, with ability to take the initiative to improve systems, processes and yourself.
• Strong Java skills and at least basic skills in C++
• Experience developing mobile apps on Linux
• A good sense of usability, attention to detail and polish
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
