The department "Electric Propulsion System Engineering" is responsible for all development of all major part of hybrid and electric vehicle systems. Sub-system as Batteries, Electric Drives, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.

Diagnose analyze & verification engineer specialized in OBD and Dependability; We are now looking for an analyze and verification engineer who is specialized within Diagnostic (including OBDII diagnostic) and dependability.
The person shall be able to work both independent and close with the diagnostic verification team. The work also include a close teamwork with the supplier and the VCC construction team, You need to read and understand the ECU specifications, make test methods from the specifications and later do the actual testing in HIL & Car environment.

Main responsibilities:
• Lead the diagnostic and dependability verification work for El Drive, HV-battery, DC/DC and OBC both at VCC and with our suppliers.
• Requirement engineering, based on functional and sub-system requirements to deliver OBD and functional safety/dependability concepts.
• Cooperation with the El Drives, OBC, DC/DC and HV-battery teams, diagnostic and System Safety Engineers (SSE's) at EPS and at other departments.
• Utilize Elektra and Autosar structured workflow & tool chain.
• Deliver test results in a structured way for the certification documentation.
• Analyze diagnostic and other control system data from VCC DRO (Diagnostic Read Out from prototypes and field) and other data logger systems. Use the analysis result to give proposals on how to improve design and calibration data.
• Develop robust calibration data and rationale for diagnostic functions, fault reactions and diagnostic core.
• Apply Functional Safety workflow and deliverables according to VCC adaptation of ISO26262.
• Continuously develop working process and procedures.

Qualifications:
• University degree within controls and SW engineering or equivalent competence.
• Relevant job experience relative to diagnostics and Functional Safety/dependability development.
• Structured, data driven and good documentation skills.
• Integrity, courage and personal energy.
• Cooperative, transparent, good communication skills.
• Business oriented
• Good English skills, verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of CANalyzer, DSA, INCA and multimeter / scope meters, Inca
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN,and Flexray
• Driving license B
• Vehicle knowledge on a complete vehicle level
• Vehicle interest is meritorious

Personal qualifications:
• Result oriented and flexible.
• Ability to act independently but also to cooperate and work within a team.
• Structured way of working.
• Broad vehicle knowledge.

Meritorious qualifications:
• Previous work as Diagnose Engineer or similar is an advantage Knowledge of the SAE and ISO standards (SAE J1979 with test spec J1699-3 and ISO 14229)
