About the role

As an Analytics Engineer, your primary focus will be on developing analytics data models, bridging the gap between business analytics and data engineering. You will have a broad role and act as an analytics and data engineer. You will have a global role and collaborate tightly with stakeholders within Aira to develop data-centric analytic capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include defining the key metrics essential for guiding our business strategies and partnering closely with the data engineering team to transform these metrics into valuable data assets. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of best practices, tools, and frameworks within the engineering domain, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data and analytics platform.

What you will be doing


Continuously develop your skills and expertise within the data ecosystem, with a specific focus on analytics.

• Leverage a range of tools and technologies, including DBT models, cloud platforms, GitHub, SQL, Python, and IaC (Infrastructure as Code), to structure and optimize data solutions.

• Comfortably use GitHub/GitLab practices, including code testing, deployment, and collaboration through pull requests.

• Collaborate with data engineer colleagues in using data movement using tools like Airbyte, and streaming data technologies such as Kafka or PubSub (with support from data engineers).

• Assist in orchestrating data jobs and workloads using tools like Dagster or Airflow (with support from data engineers).

• Leverage cloud platforms like Google Cloud and AWS for data storage, processing, and analysis.

• Utilize visualization tools like PowerBI or similar to transform data into actionable insights.

What you will bring to the team


Strong business acumen and the ability to autonomously engage with business stakeholders to understand and address analytics needs.

• Proven experience in interpreting and solving both vague and specific business problems using data-driven approaches.

• Ability to translate business requirements into data models and design data solutions accordingly.

• Experience collaborating with source system teams to interpret raw data and identify opportunities for data ingestion.

• Proficiency in collaborating with data engineers to ensure smooth data ingestion processes.
