Introduction And Overview
Analytical Development, R&D is a part of the EMEA Self Care business and works with development of new regional and global OTC products and with analytical support to marketed products. The Helsingborg R&D site is the center of excellence for the need states Cough & Cold, Digestive Health and Smoking Cessation but also supports other regional Self Care projects.

Analytical Development Manager R&D
We are looking for an Analytical Development Manager to be the next leader of one of the two groups working with New Product Development (NPD) and take part of the leadership team at Analytical Development.
You will work within a group of 14 colleagues at the department. The group is working with products in the early ideation stage all the way through development and transfer to commercial production. The position will be located in Helsingborg, but you will have extensive everyday contacts with external and internal partners, CROs and J&J colleagues across the globe. This is a fulltime position.

Objectives Of The Position
This position includes both strategic leadership as well as operational responsibilities. The role includes the responsibility of leading and be part of the development of about 5 direct reports. In addition, you will lead product development project teams and work as an analytical lead in such teams. We support agile ways of working and servant leadership style is required. Working with contract research organizations will be a substantial part of your responsibility. ICH and other regulatory guidelines and requirements for medicinal products are our natural playground. Compliance in terms of cGMP (including lab system and instrument) and EHS are also important responsibilities. The ability to grasp, understand and translate sophisticated problems into explicit work packages will be needed. Performing risk assessment, leading investigations and root cause analyses will be other parts of the work.
You will also hold presentations and be visual outside the department. Documentation skills are important since you will write and or review/approve several reports, including delivering our parts of CTA's, MAA's and NDA's.


Qualifications
at least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry and is well acquainted with cGMP requirements and regulatory guidelines for medicinal products
a Ph D within a relevant chemistry area is a merit but not a requirement; achieved corresponding scientific skills will be valued equally.
ability to connect, networking and build relationships
a coaching leadership style with the ambition to support and develop others
the ability to encourage and lead people.
experience working with naturals is considered an advantage
knowledge on requirements of medical devices is a merit.
understanding in laboratory systems and computerized system validation is also considered a merit.
knowledge and understanding of requirements and analysis of different formats such as tablets, sprays, nasal and inhaled products is a merit as well.
since we are working in an international organization good verbal and written English is a prerequisite.
