Adecco Life Science is one of our specialized Business Lines, which works exclusively with Staffing Services and Recruitment of personnel for the Life Science industry. Our customers are Pharmaceutical-, Biotech- and Medtech companies. We are now recruiting an Analytical Chemist, location Mölndal. Preferably the candidate start in the beginning of February and the assignment will initially continue for eleven months.
You will work in a Team of 10 analytical chemists who's main responsibilities are to purify compounds and separate isomers by chromatographic techniques in the mg to kg scale as part of early Drug Discovery. The Team is working closely together with synthetic chemists in the Medicinal Chemistry Departments. Chemical purity, isomeric purity and accurate mass determination are also part of the Teams responsibilities. State of the art analytical and preparative LC and SFC instruments with UV and mass spectrometry detectors, optical rotation, automated balance and liquid handling robotics, vacuum centrifuges and rotary evaporators are used on a daily basis. The Team is working closely together and rotating between tasks.
Tasks:
Perform analytical and preparative chromatography of samples made in-house using LC-MS and SFC-MS as well as determination of chemical and isomeric purity. The tasks will also include automation using balance and liquid handling robotics. Over time the work can shift between all or some of these tasks.
Education:
Minimum Bachelor degree in chemistry or related competence.
Experience:
Analytical chemistry with focus on liquid chromatography and good collaborative skills are required. Experience of mass spectrometry, SFC, preparative chromatography, organic chemistry or automation is preferred.
