Analysis Engineer; Weight Engineering within the Environment and Fluid Dynamics Dept.
The increased focus on the enviornment and the environmental impact from the automotive industry is a key focus area within our company. This has increased the focus on achieving lightweight design for our current and future products. Reducing the weight of our products is an enable to imporve many different attributes of our products; lower fuel consumption, improved handling, better performance and shorter braking distance just to mention a few. We are currently looking to strengthen the weight engineering gourp with an analysis engineer.
As a department within Vehicle Engineering, the "Environment and Fluid Dynamics" department has an exciting role. We define the environmental aspects of our future products and platforms and assure that the targets are met. We work closely together with program and concept management as well as product planning.
We are currently seeking an Analysis Engineer for Weight Engineering. This role is a central player in both vehicle programs as well as attribute development. The key focus is to analyze and manage weight data for all varaints within several vehicle programs, from early stages of development to pre-series and homologation. There is also focus on process and method development within the attribute.
Responsibilities
Project Leader for the attribute weight from Industrialization to homologation
Manage weight targets and corrective actions
Perform weight analysis within program and platform development
Lead Advanced Engineering projects
Develop methods and processes
Contribute to the startegic development of weight engineering
Qualifications
University degree or similar
5+ years of experinence from product development
High level of analytical skills
Experience from statistical analysis (6 sigma or similar)
Good communication skills
High level of knowledge in Excel, Access or similar
Experience from working with large amount of data
