We currently need to expand the team that performs analysis in support of our offshore cable installation and service projects.

About the position:
As an Analysis Engineer you will be performing analysis of for instance cable laying, pull-in operations, joint over boarding and cable fatigue. The purpose of the analysis is to verify that the planned installation operations can be performed in a safe manner and to provide guidance on weather limitations, expected loads onto the cable and how the procedures can be improved.
Findings from the analysis are communicated both internally and externally through reports and project meetings. You will be supporting some of the most advanced cable installation projects in the world with varying technical challenges that are to be solved.

You are a creative, positive and thorough person with a systematic and problem-solving mindset. It is equally important that you enjoy working in a diverse environment and appreciate that problems are solved by team work.

Your profile:
You have a Master degree in Engineering with specialization in mechanics, physics or similar. Skills in OrcaFlex, Matlab or Python programming is beneficial. Experience from offshore engineering and dynamic analysis of marine systems is also a merit. Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English is required.

Simulation Services is a department specialized in numerical analysis and simulations within the high voltage cable domain. The department consists of a team of Analysis Engineer with competences covering electro-thermal analysis, structural analysis, cable mechanics and analysis of offshore installations. Simulation Services functions as a competence center supporting both customer projects and R&D projects at several NKT sites. The analysis engineers at Simulation Services are normally involved in all stages of cable projects; from R&D to design, testing, installation and service.
