Our Offer
At the Personal Driving Experience Centre within Product Creation at Volvo Cars we are responsible for that our attributes Driving Dynamics and Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) are supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements.
We know you have experience from Aerodynamics or Aeroacoustics, so what else do you have that can contribute to creating the world's most inspired and confident driving experience? We need an outspoken and brave person to take on the role of Analysis Engineer for Wind Noise in the Trimmed Body Team.
You will get the opportunity to be involved in all project phases, from Advanced Engineering to vehicle production start, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve our attributes in our cars. You will get a varying role where you will work with both CAE simulations as well as with hands-on testing in the Wind Tunnel.
We can offer state-of-the-art equipment, HPC and test facilities and the opportunity to build an extensive network with other internal design areas, suppliers, and our development center in Shanghai.
Your Contribution
You will support the delivery of Wind Noise attribute through a combination of Greenhouse Wind Noise simulations and Wind Tunnel testing of Full-size Clay Models and vehicle prototypes. You will lead assignments based on your experience, and we will train you in the others. You will participate in the development of modeling and testing methods and together we will drive change.
Competence is Important
We see that you have a M.Sc. in mechanical or aeronautical engineering, technical acoustics, engineering physics or similar. You have experience with CFD pre-processing tools and/or Digital Signal Processing. Research in the field of Aeroacoustics will be highly valued. Understanding the importance of Wind Noise in the overall refinement of Electric and Autonomous Vehicles will be also beneficial.

You are customer-focused and result-oriented with a sense of timing. You possess good interpersonal and communications skills. You are a team player with a sense of accountability, also comfortable working independently.
