At Active Safety Department, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.
The group Driver assistant and Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS), Analysis and Verification is a part of Volvo Car Groups Active Safety department, at the Vehicle Software and Electronics Unit within Product and Quality, which drives the development of the Volvo core value - Safety.
Our group is responsible for Analysis and verification of several different systems such as parking systems, parking cameras, automatic parking, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) and SRS. All these involved systems will be part of the future self-driving cars together with many new systems. Our test methods today are both for bench, rigs, cars and CAE. Our daily work is performed in close collaboration with both our internal design departments and the Active Safety CAE group, electrical, interior/exterior, ergonomics as well as external suppliers.
We are now searching for an Analysis Engineer who will be testing our BLIS systems. BLIS will be one of the very important systems when it comes to self-driving cars. You will be part of a scrum team that consist of both developers and analyze engineers, so there are opportunities to be involved in both developing and testing. But as responsible for system testing in this team you will develop automated test methods, lead the verification as well as report to management. Different technical solutions are to be evaluated to secure that the vehicles meet our high safety standards.
What you will do
You will be part of the BLIS scrum teams. That means to land and lead the system verification within the area, prepare and perform the system testing in bench, HIL, Boxcar and Vehicle. You will be responsible for developing new test methods automated as much as possible, analyse test results, and communicate with involved parties. You will participate in complete vehicle tests.
What do you need to have:
* M.Sc or B.Sc in mathematics, mechatronics, electronics or physics
* At least 2-3 years of work experience
* Experience from Matlab and Simulink
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Driver license B
* An asset would be years of experience within automotive development
What is a plus to have?
* Programming languages such as C++, .Net and Java
* Experience in using Vector products such as CANoe, CANalyzer and CANApe
* Experience in test automation
* Former experience from working with the areas; sensor or system development
* Experience from Agile/Scrum
