Analysis Engineer - Active Safety

The section Driver Assistance & Active Safety A&V is responsible for Sensor, System, CAE and Function verification of the Active Safety and Driver assistance functions. The section isworking with Volvo's Collision avoidance functions, Driver assistance functions and the Drive Me project for autonomous driving cars. The group Driver Assistance Functions - A&V is responsible for function verification of the customer functions related to Full Autonomous Driving and Driver Assistance within Active Safety. This includes functionalities such as pilot assist, lane keeping aid, traffic sign information and semi automatic parking. The group also play a vital role in the work towards fully autonomous driving vehicles in the Drive Me project, an area of fast development using new technology, which put high demands on comprehensive and efficient verification processes

We are looking for driven Analysis Engineer who wants to be a part of you're the verification team but you will also have interfaces in other development/verification teams and project management. You will perform software tests using virtual test environments and perform complete function verification in vehicles. Your daily work will be in your development & verification team. You are also expected to cooperate with other teams and project management in current and future research projects to develop new test methods, test objects, automate tests and execute the verification needed for quality products withworld class technology.

Main responsibilities

• Test and verification in virtual and physical environments
• Invent and develop new test methods, virtual and physical
• Tuning of driver assistance functions
• Take part in and plan expeditions
• Take part in function requirement design and analysis of function requirements, customer requirements
• Analysis and benchmark of competitors
• Support Advanced Engineering activities related to Driver Assistance
• Write test reports and present progress reports in vehicle projects
• Be a part of the future innovation of Driver Assistance technology

Required qualifications

• M.Sc. degree within Automation and Control, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent
• Experience in development or verificationand analysis of embedded functions
• Experience in Matlab programming
• Swedish valid driving license and driving experience
• Automotive experience is meritorious
• Experience in driver assistance systems will be an asset
