The International School of the Stockholm Region is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. The school runs the International Baccalaureate's curricula. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is offered to students from 5-11 years of age and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) is offered to students from 11-16 and the Diploma Programme (DP) is offered to students from 16-19 years of age. The schools language of instruction is English for all subjects. At ISSR students can receive an internationally-recognized education in English from 5 to 19 years of age in one location in the center of Stockholm.
1 plats(er). This fall ISSR will need an English literature teacher to teach in the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
This fall ISSR will need an English literature teacher to teach in the Middle Years Programme (MYP), grades 6-10 according to the IB MYP framework. All instruction at ISSR is in English so the course is focused on language arts and literature, not language acquisition. The desirable candidate should be familiar working with English language learners (ELLs) and is strong differentiating lessons to reach all students language levels. The programme requires a high level of collaboration with other teachers and a dynamic style to teaching learning including varied instructional and assessment strategies. The desired teacher should be enthusiastic about working with a diverse and transient student body.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement
• Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
• Mentorship for approximately 20 student
• Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
• Participating in school activities (assemblies, evening events, conferences, etc.)
• Supervising children during breaks
• Planning with colleagues across the school
• Continued professional development
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be:
• A university educated teacher in mathematics with certification from either a native English speaking country or Sweden
• Native English speaker (or near native fluency)
• Highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard, HTML and other tools for learning).
Löneform: Månadslön.

Krav på arbetslivserfarenhet: Erfarenhet krävs.
Experiences:
A qualified candidate will be:
• International and/or IB teaching experience
• IB trained in th MYP.
