The headquarters are located in Norrköping. Other main sites are Västerås, Växjö and Stockholm. Altogether, 800 people work at Alstom's three branches in Sweden, ALSTOM Power Sweden AB, ALSTOM Hydro Sweden AB and ALSTOM Transport AB. Job description
This is a position based on a temporary contract for 6 months. There is a possibility for an extension of the contract.
• Responsibility for the purchasing process for critical components
• Negotiate and follow through significant value contracts with suppliers
• Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with both internal customers and suppliers
• Provide input into the planning and tendering process
• Participate in supplier audits, strategic sourcing and the approval of new suppliers
• Actively participate in purchasing improvement activities
You will report to the Purchasing Manager. The position will be based in Västerås and requires some travel.
Profile description
• At least 5 years relevant operational purchasing experience in an industrial environment (strategic purchasing knowledge would be a bonus)
• You have excellent negotiation skills and contractual awareness
• You are customer focused, proactive and have excellent communication skills
• You have the skills to help drive change within the purchasing organization
• You are driven by results and have high self motivation
• You are fluent in English and Swedish
• It is considered an additional qualification if you have a high-level technical or commercial academic degree or other equivalent education.
