Alliance Manager - Biometrics and Information Sciences

We are looking for an experienced Alliance Manager within the Alliance and Operations Office of the B&I department to play a key role in the oversight of the delivery of Analysis and Reporting (A&R) through successful external strategic partnerships.The Alliance and Operations team in B&I coordinates and drives improvements to critical business processes such as recruitment, strategy deployment, training, and quality.

Role

In this role you will work closely with B&I Alliance Directors as we support B&I's mission by partnering with key contract research organizations (CROs), ensuring B&I deliverables are met as agreed, and that we are delivering successfully on clinical trials.



Responsibilities

You will work with the B&I Pipeline Delivery Lead and with the B&I Alliance Directors to support the strategic B&I goals for A&R deliverables across all delivery models.



Areas of responsibility include:

* Supporting management of effective governance of CROs within the A&R outsourcing delivery model, and participate in governance across other models
* Working with the Pipeline Delivery Team to support the strategic B&I goals for A&R deliverables across all delivery models
* Supporting relationship, commercial, and process improvement initiatives with our CRO partners and with B&I staff to ensure high-functioning strategic partnerships
* Leading / supporting specific area(s) of quality assessment and training, across B&I and with external service providers
* Supporting Alliance Directors in developing and maintaining service orders, and supporting Statement of Work and Master Services Agreement development and review
* Serving as a delegate for the B&I Alliance Directors for specific tasks or activities, as necessary



Requirements



Essential

To succeed in this role, you will have considerable experience of working successfully in a relationship involving external partners in an alliance or business process role within the pharmaceutical industry or within a clinical research organization. In addition to your good understanding of clinical trials, you'll enjoy networking and collaborating and be able to build strong relationships.



In addition, you will have:

* A university degree or equivalent experience
* Proven ability to work independently, and remotely, from key customers and stakeholders and with little direction
* The ability to solve problems that involve many decision makers, and develop multiple options/recommendations
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Leadership skills, including the ability to take initiative and to solve problems
* Excellent networking skills, ability to interact widely and effectively both within the company (on both an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary basis) and externally
* Proven project leadership/project management experience from drug and/or non-drug projects



Desirable

Prior experience working in a biostatistics department and/or providing biostatistical support for clinical trials (working in statistics, statistical programming, or a related discipline) in the pharmaceutical industry or at a contract research organization would be highly advantageous.



Location(s) - This role could be based in Cambridge (UK) or Gaithersburg (US) or Gothenburg (Sweden)
