Job profile
The Algorithm Expert is a key role in the development of our digitally controlled power electronics products. The role is overall responsible for developing of the complete control functionality for switched-mode power conversion and power inverters. Involvement will be from roadmap work and early concept stages through series production. The role will imply some travel in the support of sales and customer project activities.
Areas of responsibility/ Personal tasks
• As a team member jointly design the power electronic products and work in cooperation with the other disciplines (hardware/software/mechanical design, manufacturing)
• Design for robustness, fault tolerance, signal integrity, variation due to tolerances, diagnostics, EMI, etc.
• To understand the impact of the surrounding environment in which the products are to be installed and used
• To define and model the control object and the algorithms, in a way it can be verified prior to implementation and then efficiently and robustly implemented
• To define, communicate and drive the strategies in the own competency area
• Understanding of the hybrid/electric vehicle architectures and handle technical discussions with customers
Candidate profile
Experience and skills:
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience within digital control development and previous experience within power electronics
• M.Sc. or equivalent
• Fluent English in speech and writing
• Good understanding of the physics of electricity, thermal, etc. relevant for the position
• MATLAB/Simulink experience
• Knowledge about automotive standards and requirements especially in hybrid and/or electric drivelines
