Job Description
Avatar: Frontiers of PandoraTM is a first person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment - a Ubisoft studio in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney. Built using the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine and developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open world experience.
As a Lead AI Programmer, you will supervise a dedicated our AI team. Your team work closely with other programmers, designers, artists and testers. In your day-to-day work, you will develop new game features using Massive's in-house engine, SnowdropTM. Working as part of the AI team, your primary focus will be on implementing and maintaining the various AI systems.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö Sweden, with the opportunity to work partially from home according to our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply in English (our company language), and we'll check your application asap!
What you'll do
Design, implement, debug, and iterate on new and existing AI systems and features.
Collaborate with stakeholders from Animation, Design and Production to ensure that features are delivered to a high standard.
Ensure quality and efficiency for the code, the tools and the overall process
Set performance budgets and own the technical road map for our core AI systems.
Encourage and maintain an honest and open feedback culture

Qualifications
What you'll bring
We are looking for a well-organized senior AI programmer who find the growth of the team important. You can review and give feedback in a clear and constructive manner and it is beneficial if you know how to handle different situations, such as salary-review as well as topics like personal- and professional development. You are comfortable working in an international environment, have good communication skills in English, and aligned with our core values. We would also like to see that you have the following skills and experiences:
AI game development experience
Professional experience working with C++ programming in the games industry
Knowledge of the process and life-cycle of games development
Knowledge of the pitfalls and key learnings of motivating a team forward
