As the AI Director, you'll embark on an exciting journey to craft and execute a cutting-edge AI strategy for the Epiroc Group. Your role involves building and leading an AI team tasked with driving the seamless integration of AI throughout Epiroc. This team will act as both pioneers and catalysts, executing vital AI projects and initiatives to fuel our AI transformation journey. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer of the Epiroc Group and being part of the Technology & Innovation divisional management team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI at Epiroc, where your leadership will drive innovation and transformative growth.
In this role, your responsibilities will be to:
Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy for the Epiroc Group, driving innovation and transformative growth.
Lead the Epiroc Group core AI team, ensuring swift and efficient action to address high-impact challenges and opportunities while fostering a culture of innovation.
Engage and align with other technical teams in the Group to foster collaborative innovation, seamlessly integrating AI technology into our industrial processes and product offerings.
Drive the scaling of AI technologies, identifying and implementing internal and external transformative operational AI projects aligned with the AI strategy.
Contribute to the implementation of effective AI policies within the Group, ensuring ethical and responsible AI practices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in an AI-driven future.
Manage the AI organization budget to support strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Experience and requirements:
Proven track record in developing and managing successful AI strategies and projects.
Degree in computer science, AI, or a related field (Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D.).
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AI, including leading and building high-performing AI teams.
Proficiency in AI technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
Demonstrated experience in leading diverse, multicultural teams.
Expertise in seamlessly integrating AI solutions into business processes.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
