About the Job
As the AI Development Manager at Verisure, your mission is to lead and guide a dynamic team of 5 (soon 7 ) dedicated and innovative Machine Learning Engineers who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI and ML in the realm of Product AI (Edge) and Cloud Connected devices. You will also represent the AI team in senior leadership meetings and effectively communicate key insights, challenges, and strategies.
What you'll be up to:
* Lead, mentor and manage the team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models for time series analysis, computer vision, and audio processing applications, particularly within the IoT and edge AI space
* Drive optimization of models for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient deployment on embedded systems
* Set strategic goals and ensure the delivery of scalable AI solutions for various applications, including time series analysis, computer vision, and audio processing
* Leverage the potential of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for model training, evaluation, and deployment
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align AI capabilities with business needs
* Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives
* Adhere to GDPR data handling and privacy protocols, ensuring the security and confidentiality of sensitive information
* Promote data storytelling, effectively communicate insights and findings to stakeholders
About You
To enjoy and excel in this role, we believe you are a dependable leader with experience in machine learning, deep learning, or other related fields. Your knowledge of AI and a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and algorithm development will ensure your success.
You have a proven track record of leading AI or technical teams to deliver high-impact projects. You have several years of experience in machine learning or a related field, with at least a couple of years in a managerial role.

* Strong network in the AI and tech industry
* Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Polars/DuckDB, delta-rs, TFLM, DeepSparse, or Apache TVM
* Familiarity with model and data monitoring tools
