Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

Consequently, Scania has embraced the continuous evolution of technology in areas such as Autonomous Vehicles, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Process Automation, Blockchain and Cloud-based solutions that are changing the way we do business.

The newly started group New Technology Office within Shared IT is responsible for identifying and developing new services and deliveries based on new technology. We are involved in the entire creation of the services, from concept development to implementation and production. Scania is undergoing a very exciting change towards automation and digital journey with an increase use of agile methods.

We are now looking for adding a future-looking and brave member to the team. We are looking for a person who will take the lead to identify and test new technology as candidates for future business innovation at Scania. You will be accountable for the effectiveness of the team, identification and creation of the services, and create a network within Scania. Your Responsibility

We believe the manager we are looking for is a forever learning professional who is passionate about discovering new technologies and translating them into innovative and valuable answers to existing and future business needs.

Your main responsibility as an IT manager will be to understand, architect and implement emerging technologies that will enable the team and the organization to improve internal work processes in order to serve partners and customers more effectively. To meet these needs, our IT Manager will partner closely with our digital network, product, development and operations teams globally to deliver a new ecosystem of IT-solutions. You will also shape and lead your team by motivating, facilitating and coaching the members on their way towards being a high-performance and self-managing team using the Agile principles and Scania's core values.

Your Profile

You are an experienced professional leader with at least +5 years of experience of delivering IT solutions/services in a leading role with the help of agile principles. A higher education in the IT-field is meritorious.

In your profile, we want to see that you skilfully can:

• Effectively deliver new innovative IT services and to lead an organization through changes towards business automation and digitalization.
• Identity new valuable technologies by understanding the needs and expectations of business and development teams.
• Experience and knowledge of agile software development.
• Initiate and present business cases and insights from our pilot programs in an intuitive manner.
• Constantly be on the lookout for the latest business-relevant emerging technologies.
• Work well in a team environment under tight deadlines and successfully manage to deliver multiple projects.
• Build close relationships with our partners and communicate progress and opportunities regularly and effectively.
• Knowledge of Robotics Process Automation, Blockchain Technologies and AI is meritorious.

As a person you are a self-motivated and driven visionary entrepreneur that takes ownership and has the ability to find solutions and a path forward even in ambiguous situations or unknown territory.

You firmly believe that technology can unleash untapped potential in our business and enable our employees to provide extraordinary experiences to our customers. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Swedish and excellent interpersonal communication skills are a given.
