Joining our Supply Chain Management, you will play a vital part in our constantly evolving organization. This will, among other things, provide you with great opportunities to influence and develop - both yourself and us.
You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. Our bases are in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden. Over 90% of our production is exported and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies - companies we call our Partners.
Within the Supply Chain Management organization, you find Supplier Quality Engineering. We contribute to all aspects within supply chain management, but are mainly responsible for quality. Here, you will take ownership for quality assurance of suppliers and their development in terms of quality. You will also be a key player in various development projects including APQP and you are expected to contribute as well as influence our Supplier Quality 2020 strategy. Other parts of your responsibilities will involve risk based action planning and supplier innovation capture. Not to mention acting as the carrier of knowledge including coaching and supporting Supplier Quality Engineers, Incoming Quality Control and R&D.
First and foremost, your personal qualities are vital for success. You thrive in an environment characterized by collaboration, openness and cross-cultural success. Equally important are your strong drive, systemic thinking and ability to analyze, propose and implement solutions.
Furthermore, you hold:
• A High School Diploma, a Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree
• Several years' experience from a manufacturing environment
• Strong change management and leadership skills
• Five years' experience from working with supplier quality
• Experience from the Electrical motors and/or Gearbox and Gears industry.
Fluency in English is also a must, whereas knowledge of Six Sigma, a quality industry certificate and deployment of quality and environmental management systems will also be to your advantage.
