The Exterior Engineering department consists of four sections, with a wide range of technology and material, e.g sheet metal hoods, polymer bumpers, electrical function intense lighting systems and glass. Each section focused on delivering world class exteriors for our future cars. We are responsible for all product documentation defining the exterior of the car.
In the Strategy, Concept & Maintenance section are divided in two groups and have deliveries in following areas:
Strategy, Advanced Engineering, Concept, Launch, Cost reduction, Quality, Changes at current model and Polymer material application
The Advanced Engineering leader reports to the group manager of Strategy & Concept.
Main responsibilities Advanced Engineering leader:
The AE leader leads the department deliveries of pre-development technologies. The advanced Engineering work and deliveries should contain e.g:
* Concept and System selection
* A balanced technical offer
* Compatibility
* Supplier selection
* Technical investigations
* Finance offers
* Time planning
Required qualifications
* Master of Science or equivalent experience.
* Good knowledge in our product development process, systems and tools.
* Interest/knowledge in car design and verification preferably with specialization in
our development area.
* Design work experience, Catia.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
Personal Qualities
* Highly structured and used to summarize and present the status of your work.
* Willing to share knowledge and experience with colleagues.
* Result oriented and flexible with focus to get the job done.
* Capacity to drive several issues simultaneously.
* Holistic approach
