We are currently searching for an Advanced Buyer to our advanced purchasing team.
About the role
As Advanced Buyer you are responsible for identifying and manage supplier and partner involvement in Advanced development phases for increased level of innovation and design optimized for quality, product cost and efficient supply chain solutions. You will focus on new functions and components that represent a technology challenge or high level of innovation.
Your main responsibilities as Advanced Buyer:
Responsible Buyer in advanced engineering studies and development projects for mobility safety and core areas.
Scout key suppliers and partners for collaborations on new technologies and innovations, supporting our technology road map and supply chain strategy.
Manage supplier involvement in concept development phases including contract management, technical feasibility assessment, early cost estimates and RFQs.
Coordinate the supply chain activities and key competences such as supplier quality, cost engineers, segment buyers and logistics to support the development activities.
Support and actively contribute to the advanced development work. Ensuring strong collaboration with the global development teams and key suppliers.
Support first market launch of new developments and innovations.
In your assignment as Advanced Buyer you report to the Global Supply Chain Management organization for Innovation.
Travels will be required on demand
About you
The position requires a master or bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related area, a high level of technical background as well as a broad experience from the purchasing and supply chain area.
You have leadership and communication skills to work in a global context and a strong ability to collaborate, both in cross-functional projects and with key stakeholder in our global supply chain organization such as segment buyers and cost improvement teams. You have a good technical knowledge, contract and risk management competencies as well as a strong business mindset.
To succeed in this position, you are openminded with a creativity and curiosity to explore and benchmark new technologies and new ideas for innovation. With an ability to structure and organize your work you will successfully manage both strategical and operational perspectives to achieve our goals. You take overall responsibility for your work and ensure the involvement of key competencies when required. Furthermore, you think it is fun to navigate in an area where all the structures are not yet set, and you appreciate the collaboration with your colleagues to together form effective and successful working concepts.
The role requires that you can communicate freely in English in speech and writing, and that you have a well-developed communicative ability.

We do this in cross functional teams and in close cooperation with Research who is also located on site. We have unique testing and prototype facilities.
In Vargarda we also produce inflators and special products such as hood lifters and child seats. In total we have approx. 400 employees.
