hela Sverige GE Healthcare Life Sciences is seeking an Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technician to our Additive Manufacturing Center in Uppsala, Sweden.
The AM Technician will have expertise in the running of additive manufacturing machinery and equipment, as well as post-processing technologies.
In this role you will be part of the Life Sciences additive team and will work closely with global R&D teams and manufacturing sites.
Essential Responsibilities:
The purpose with our additive center is to provide support to design teams and product development projects, as well as to lead additive process development and transfer to production.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on new additive technology development.
Manage weekly additive manufacturing builds
Hands-on work with running printers and post-processing of manufactured metal and polymer parts
Be part of installing and running new 3D-printing and post-processing equipment
Be part of process development for additive manufacturing and post-processing methods
Develop new techniques for making the work more efficient
Maintain and develop skills to be able to deliver what's expected in the role
Plan and deliver on agreed tasks. Report progress and deviation from plans
Qualifications/Requirements:
Practical experience from additive manufacturing, CNC machines, or similar
Structured way of working and demonstrated troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and to interact as part of a team environment
Good skills in English - written and verbal
Desired Characteristics:
Working experience with additive metal printing equipment or post-processing
Basic knowledge and awareness of AM build preparation (e.g. Materialise Magics)
Product and process development experience
Basic knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD systems
Knowledge in Swedish
Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience working with global teams
