We are now recruiting to an exciting position in Aeronautics, and have the opportunity to offer a position as Additive Manufacturing Technical Leader.
The function will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate SAAB Aeronautics work developing Additive Manufacturing in regard to airworthiness and methodology.
Responsibilities include:
* Create and execute roadmap to airworthiness for AM, in collaboration with our design organizations
* Coordinate and lead work in updating our working methods for AM, in collaboration with our design organizations
* Participate in qualifications and similar project to ensure requirements are met, and that results are properly reported.
* Support AM Engineers in the development of new AM articles
* Participate in AM projects and initiatives from our Business Units.
* Participate in the internal Aeronautics AM team, and represent Aeronautics SAAB Group AM projects.
* Develop strategies with line manager and co-workers
* Act as a liaison between different design departments
You will have the opportunity to develop a role and a function and network over the whole of Aeronautics, as well as collaborate with other Business Areas within SAAB.
You will be a part of General Engineering AM team, comprising of material experts, lead research and qualification experts. Together we support and enable the development and delivery of our Business Units.
Your profile
You have experience from technical leadership from a design organization, and is familiar with processes for design and approval. Experience from EMAR 21 or similar is a strong merit.
You have a strong interest in Additive Manufacturing, but it is not necessary to have a deep technical understanding. You will have a team of AM engineers to assist you with technical questions.
You have excellent communication skills and a natural networker, being able to explain the complex in a simple way.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
You will be a part of the function General Engineering, a part of Business Support - Aeronautics. We support Aeronautics with technological solutions and support. From R&T, Design, Production to aftermarket.
General Engineering is today approximately 40 co-workers, divided into two operational areas: Component & Design Engineering and Material & Process Engineering.
You will be organized directly under the Head of General Engineering.
The Aeronautics business area is an innovative supplier of world-class aircraft systems, advanced aerostructures, and a wide range of support solutions within civil and military aviation.
