hela Sverige The Vehicle Automation team consists of an internal team supported by external collaboration. Its task is to develop and prepare the needed enabling technologies to automate vehicles with a platform development logic. The technology development activity is organized with the below structure:
Vehicle environment perception and positioning
Analysis and decision making
Vehicle motion control
Functional safety analysis and development
Virtual modeling and simulation tools development
We are looking for several experienced research engineers to strengthen our competences in ?Functional Safety?. Depending on your background, your level of experience and expertise your job will be to:
Contribute to technology scooting and planning
Conduct applied research and technology development to offer mature technologies to be used in higher level active safety and automation systems
Contribute to technology development projects
In this context your main tasks and responsibility will be to support and drive the development of automated vehicles and active safety systems according to the automotive functional safety standards
The main tasks will be to:
Perform own work and lead work with functional safety aspects related to automated vehicles and active safety systems
Work with functional safety concept development in the related projects
Conduct functional safety analysis
Develop functional safety concepts and implement concepts in projects
Functional safety work is mandatory for our development of active safety and vehicle automation functionalities for Active Safety and Vehicle Automation.
This technology domain is a growing area where the R&D efforts will continue to grow during the coming years; the room for personal development and growth will be good. You will have opportunity to lead research and technology development projects and work in an international environment in the forefront of automotive research. Beside the internal projects we often lead and/or participate in national or international R&D projects together with suppliers, other OEM?s, Universities and research institutes across Europe.
Experience and qualifications:
You have a master degree or PhD in Engineering Physics, Signal processing, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or similar.
You have a positive attitude and the willingness and ability to take initiatives to progress and deliver. Leadership skills and abilities will be highly valued.
You have a strong technical background in functional safety and have more than 5 years? experience with functional safety in the automotive industry.
You most likely have a genuine interest in the automotive industry and applied technology development.
As a person you are driven, innovative and you have a passion for problem solving. You are open-minded, positive and outgoing. You enjoy team work and can take advantage of a multi-disciplinary research environment. At the same time you are able to work independently and drive development on your own.
