In Gothenburg we have an Application Technical Center running Global Projects on delivering our Sensor, ADAS and Systems to local customers.
We are building a competence center within ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance systems) in Gothenburg and are now looking for engineers. At Veoneer Gothenburg we work with Active Safety Platforms, which includes integration of Radar and Vision components, and both feature and platform SW.
We have the ambition to be the leading supplier within ADAS. In order to achieve this we need to be a learning organization. We will build our success on finding a healthy balance between having cooperation with several suppliers and develop our own HW and SW. We are proud to be pushing the technical limits for our important products which save lives.
We are looking for three different roles: Feature Owner, Product Owner and Development Engineer. For all roles we expect you to have experience of working in the Active Safety domain; Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Traffic Assist and ACC. In your application please specify which role(s) you are interested in.
Veoneer is in a forming phase, where many changes and improvements are expected the next 6-12 months. It is therefor important that you have a flexible mindset and that you would be looking forward to being part of shaping a successful organization. What you'll do?
A Development Engineer works in cross-functional teams, and will be able to take on any task that appears in the backlog, whether it is Sw requirements, development, integration or test. The main part of the development is done in Matlab, but also some C++. The development engineers work in close collaboration with the team and the PO.
Requirements: Some years of experience of SW development in complex products. High degree of responsibility and cooperation.
A Product Owner (PO) leads the teams' backlog in priority setting and time planning. The PO is the speaking partner with Product Area Owner (PAO) and takes responsibility of the complete SW for this area. The PO interacts with the stakeholders for the area. It is a role that works on a technical level and the PO is expected to understand the SW. The PO will closely cooperate with FOs and the teams.
Requirements: SW development but also being able to understand the system view. Planning from both a content and estimation view. Good communication and cooperation skills.
A Feature Owner (FO) has the overall responsibility of the feature. The FO defines and leads the direction of the feature by interacting with Business Units, Customers, Product Planning, sensor, and acts as stakeholder towards the PO and Development teams. The FO makes the first requirements break-down (Vehicle Level 0) and plans the feature on a high level. The FO supports the understanding and communicates the feature, which also requires a level of pedagogical skills. FO is also part of the validation activities.
The FO will have much interaction with Business Units, Customers, Vision core engineers, Radar core engineers and of course Product Area Owner for the Area.
Requirements: Good system knowledge in general, and specifically for one or two areas within Active Safety domain. Some kind of technical leadership is expected in your merits. Used to define and analyze requirements.
What you'll bring:
For all roles it is expected to have an experience of working in complex product development. Agile methods and automotive experience is meriting. Working with quality standards such as aSPICE and ISO26262 is highly meriting. For the PO and FO roles experience in Active Safety functions is more or less a must.

Level (diploma) required:
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Electronics, Software or equivalent
