The mission of JIBS is to advance the theory and practice of business, with a specific emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Renewal. Three simple principles guide what we do: International at Heart, Entrepreneurial in Mind and Responsible in Action. JIBS offers a range of Bachelor and Master Programs in Business Administration, Economics, and Informatics. JIBS has 85 faculty members and 14 operations staff, approximately 1.600 full-time students, including international exchange students. JIBS currently has 61 active PhD candidates.
WORKING TASK
The Operations Manager is a member of JIBS' leadership team and manager for operational support staff at JIBS. The holder of the position works in close collaboration both with the Dean and the Associate Deans. The main tasks and responsibilities are to:
• Lead and coordinate operational and administrative tasks.
• Support Dean's Office with action planning and follow-up.
• Support Dean's involvement in JIBS' strategic initiative.
• Support Dean's interactions with unions, Safety Officers, Work Environment Council and JU President's Office.
• Ensure well-functioning liaison with University Services.
• Ensure JIBS compliance and cooperation with JU's administrative rules and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for an extrovert and active troubleshooter with experience of leading administrative work, and who has the ambition and proven capability to:
• Lead and stimulate colleagues working in the operational functions.
• Think and act strategically.
• Coordinate many activities simultaneously.
• Work with operational working tasks in an academic working place.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish.
As Operations Manager you should have a minimum bachelor level degree relevant for the position. Previous experience from working in a University, preferably a Business school, is a merit, as well as previous experience supervising personnel.

INFORMATION
Starting date is March 1, 2016. The position is for one year with the possibility to be extended.
