Position description:
As acting manager for the rig workshop you will be a part of Complete Vehicle. You will be responsible for project deliveries, budget and development of the team, including processes, tools as well as its team members. To support this, you are also expected to run OD program and continue the journey to implement Volvo Production System within the workshop.
In this position you will be part of the Workshop, Trucks and Rigs management team and report to Workshop, Trucks and Rig Section manager. You will work in close cooperation with test engineers, feature leaders and rig operators within our organization and you will have interfaces with engineering within the design departments.

Complete Vehicle contributes to deliver Products & Services to all Volvo Group brand customers.
Main purpose for the Rig Workshop is to support the Durability & Reliability, VFL, Noise and brake rigs with mechanical resources to run, build, maintain and disassemble rigs and other test objects. In some rigs the support is pure assembly/ disassembly while other rigs require support with manufacturing of parts in the machine workshop. We are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors.
The workshop team currently consists of 14 skilled employees. The group tests everything from brackets to complete trucks. Our engaged teams have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
