3M Peltor is now looking for a talented acoustician to be part of our successful R&D team in Sweden. We are aiming to constantly be in the forefront of our product areas. The position is based at 3M 's Technical Center in Värnamo Sweden.

Job description:

The R&D lab in Värnamo is Global Center of Excellence for over-the-ear hearing protection and communication solutions within the Personal Safety Division in 3M. We now have an open position as specialist in acoustics to support new product development and new technology introduction.

As an acoustic specialist you will participate in commercialization projects and collaborate with other functions to develop solutions both in terms of protection and communication. You will also be a part of the new technology introduction team, investigating new technologies and bring new ideas into concepts.

The work includes acoustic and electroacoustic specification, design and verification, simulation, new technology investigation and generating IP.

Candidate profile:

In order for you to fully enjoy this job we are looking for you with a Master's degree in Acoustics, Electrical engineering, Applied Physics or similar. You have documented work experience from a similar role in acoustic product development. Research experience is meritorious.

As a person you have an open mind and like to find new solutions to customer needs. You have a scientific approach and innovative thinking. You are a team player with the capability to lead your own work. You can both document and communicate your achievements.
