hela Sverige As an acoustic Engineer within the group Fluid Dynamics and Acoustic Simulation, you will play an important role in driving forward of the world class exhaust aftertreatment systems within the VW Truck & Bus. Together with teams of focused CFD- and acoustic engineers, you will help predict and balance the performance of components and systems from an acoustic point of view.
The group consists of 11 CFD- and acoustic engineers who are situated at the Scania R&D in Södertälje.
You will be expected to
From the early stages of the design process you play an important role in cross-functional teams and help to optimise with focus on acoustical performance.
You cooperate with test engineers in order calibrate the test- and simulation methods, and give input to the development and verification plans. Based upon your simulations and knowledge you provide support and direction to teams of design engineers.
Continually develop CAE methods with the help of new software or test data to improve efficiency and accuracy, both in-house and in collaboration with external suppliers.
Analysed results and recommendations of possible improvements are communicated and documented in presentations and reports. Analyse results, prepare reports and presentations, and to effectively communicate your findings within various forums.

Requirements
We see that you are a graduate master engineer with the educational orientation in sound- and vibration. You are a problem solver and with a strong interest in vehicles and acoustics. You enjoy working individually and in teams in a high paced environment, and with both shorter and longer assignments. Experience of acoustic simulations is particularly meritorious, preferably with different solvers. A combination of practical and theoretical knowledge of acoustics is considered as an advantage as it is important for method calibration between test and simulation.
