We are represented in more than 50 countries at more than 250 different airports, consisting of close to 35,000 employees. Ground services include, among other things, passenger check-in, handling of luggage and freight and other services related to the aircraft while it is on the ground.
Our finance department is responsible for reporting relevant information, analyzing and making predictions and ensuring that applicable legislation is followed at all times. The Northern Europe Department is led by a Regional Financial Controller. It consists further of a country specific Financial Controller, responsible for each country - together with a country specific team, located in each Scandinavian Country.
The Accounting Payables Function is in a Shared Service Center (SSC) in Spain. We are now looking for a Scandinavian Lead which will be the Lead between SSC and the Scandinavian team. The aim of the position is to ensure a good quality of the accounting within Northern Europe.
You must have education (minimum Bachelor's Degree) within Accounting, Business or Finance, focused on accounting, auditing and internal control. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Scandinavian accounting - with at least one country known in detail. Furthermore, the position requires knowledge of a Scandinavian Language and English - on a professional level.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role should reinforce management, standardization, efficiency and quality in account payable processes. This should be accomplished by controlling that SSC is following Scandinavian accounting procedures.
Main tasks are:
Lead the Accounts Payable function in Northern Europe - including being point of contact for SSC in Northern Europe.
Be the main contact between SSC and local financial controllers.
Making sure that all invoices and accounting are done according to local procedures.
Be the first-line approval of all incoming invoices in ERP system.
Be the first-line signoff of all bank reconciliations.
Be the first-line signoff of all cash payments in bank.
Be the first-line signoff of all intercompany balances in Northern Europe
Prepare Monthly Prepayments.
VAT-reporting.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Assure that SSC handles timely and accurate payments.
Secure financial compliance.
Challenge and improve the internal controls in the processes.
Cooperation with external and internal auditing.
Build collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders - including key suppliers.
Continuously reduce cost of the function
Adhoc tasks requested by Northern Europe team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree within Accounting, Business or Finance.
Minimum 1 year experience from accounting.
Knowledge of Charts of Accounts - minimum one Scandinavian country in detail.
Broad managerial skills; personnel, projects and outsourcing.
Knowledge of technology such as ERP system and Excel.
Thorough knowledge in English and one Scandinavian language, both written and spoken.
YOU NEED TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE BY THE LOCAL CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY.
The requirements are dependent on the final location (Oslo/Stockholm/Copenhagen) of applicant.
