Accounting & Company Control (ACC) is the accounting department within the Volvo Group, responsible for financial compliance in all legal entities. Financial compliance is defined as meeting all statutory requirements and internal Volvo Group requirements as described in policies, directives and in Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP).
Company Control secures financial compliance in all legal entities in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders through the ACC responsible and the Chief Accountant roles.
We need to strengthen the Swedish accounting team with an accounting specialist. This is a great opportunity to broaden skills/competencies and develop both professionally and personally together with a team of highly skilled and engaged colleagues. The job is located in Arendal, Göteborg and you will report to the ACC Area Sweden VP.
Responsibilities
Support Chief Accountants in the Swedish legal entities in:
• All statutory accounting issues (including transfer prices)
• Ensuring that Swedish GAAP is followed
• Application of IFRS rules in Swedish legal entities
• Valuation of shares & participations and related transactions
• Accounting of fixed and intangible assets
• Taking part in tax related tasks
• Employee benefits accounting issues
• Questions regarding accounting of leasing (revenue recognition issues)
• Issues related to reporting of branches
• Questions related to mergers and acquisitions
• Actively take part in the work with the Annual reports

Preferred educational requirements and experience:
• Academic degree in economy/ finance or equivalent
• Advanced experience in the field of accounting
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish GAAP and IFRS
• Experience from SAP R/3 and CAPS
• Thorough knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Proficiency in English and Swedish both verbal and written
• Experience from Audit company or Volvo Group
