Oversight and full responsibility of all finance activities of LeasePlan Sweden and supporting any stakeholders in a pro-active way. In addition implement process improvements and participate in projects.
Working closely with the business controlling team and the AR/AP team.
Background of the company:
LeasePlan Sweden provides fleet management services to its clients. This can be related to financing of the cars, as well as a full service package whereby the clients are charged a standard monthly fee for repair, maintenance, tires, etc. based upon the agreed contract duration for a car, as well as the mileage. Next to that LeasePlan remarkets vehicles at the end of the contract via Car Remarketing and B2C sales in the CarNext Retail store in Upplands Väsby.
Background of the role:
The finance department is responsible for: treasury, accounting, reporting, financial control, AR/AP and tax. This includes statutory reporting and group reporting to the Corporate Headquarters in Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
If you are interested in the job, you will be joining LeasePlan at a very exciting stage. The company is implementing a new suite of financial systems (SAP S4 HANA and other applications) to modernize the finance function to deliver on the digital strategy of LeasePlan. LP Sweden is the pilot country for the LeasePlan Group. The go-live is planned for early 2022. This means that the finance manager has the chance to work with brand new systems and to share the knowledge and experience with other LeasePlan entities which are on the roadmap. The digital strategy and the strong focus on process improvement via LEAN methodology has a positive influence on LeasePlan and provides opportunities to improve the company's processes.
The finance manager position is responsible for accounting, reporting, financial control, treasury and tax. A broad role with responsibility in a dynamic environment. The finance manager has one direct report. The finance manager works closely with the other functions of the finance department (business controlling and AR/AP), Corporate Headquarters in Amsterdam and is a direct report to the FD. The Finance Manager is the "right hand" of the FD and the profile of the candidate is a person who wants to grow to be the stand-in of the FD when needed.

Main duties & responsibilities:
* Treasury: liquidity forecasting and funding management with Group Treasury and Local Banks
* Tax filings (payroll tax, VAT, income tax)
* Reporting: Group Reporting (IFRS) and local statutory reporting (SE GAAP/K3/SCB) and contact point to internal and external auditors
* Accounting: ensuring alignment with Group Accounting Standards (IFRS) and SE GAAP
* Financial Control: Improve and maintain internal control framework
* Participate in projects, process and policy improvements
* Team management: Allocate the work with the direct report(s) and ensure proper and timely execution as well as prioritization. Lead and motivate the team, while keeping the CFO informed about on-going topics
* Provide guidance to the AR/AP team
* Approval of time reports for the team and non-core incoming invoices
* Cost Control: OPEX monitoring
Knowledge/Skills:
Essential:
* 10+ years of accounting experience - experience with lease accounting is highly desirable (or experience in the banking, insurance industry)
* Ability to work collaboratively and accurate
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Proactive & communicative mindset for building confidence and relationships towards internal stakeholders
* Ability to prioritize and deliver within short/tight deadlines and with high precision
* Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
* Tax knowledge (VAT and CIT)
* K3 (Swedish GAAP) and IFRS
* Languages: written and oral in English (Swedish is highly desirable)
* Teamplayer
* Closing experience under tight deadlines
* Bachelor degree in Accounting
* Advanced Excel skills
Desirable:
* Dealing with demanding stakeholders
* Experience with SAP S4 HANA
Qualifications:
Essential:
* University Education specialized in Accounting
* 10+ years' experience in Accounting positions, of which 5+ in leading an accounting team
Desirable:
* Finance qualification (CPA or equivalent)
* Experience from big four auditing firms
* Track record of step change process improvements
