We offer a challenging role with the opportunity to influence the ways of working within the area of global stock control. You will be given a lot of responsibility from day one and you will be working in a team together with experienced colleagues.
The global Finance and Accounting function is responsible for making sure that the H&M Group can handle all business initiatives in a legal compliant way and ensure that all brands and sales-channels are aligned from a follow-up and accounting perspective. We are responsible for assuring that the financial reporting keeps up with the high pace of the H&M-group. The Financial consolidation & control main responsibility is to set up processes and guidelines for the H&M group. It is also a support function for all H&M local accounting departments around the world to make sure best practice is applied.
Job Description
The job of an Accounting Controller comes with lots of responsibility - and lots of fun.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with and ensure quality of our key asset, the stock-in-trade, by proactively adapting our routines to the constant changes within the H&M Group.
Participate in stock projects that affects the financial reporting and improve our stock control from a Group perspective.
Work with our global stock accounting principles and create accounting routines to be used as instructions for other parts of the global H&M-organization.
Qualifications
Just like everyone at H&M, we believe you are a sales-minded, social, open, communicative and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism. We also see that you are skilled within communication and like to involve yourself in discussions with colleagues from different functions and markets within the company. You also have a strong ability to plan, execute, and prioritize.
We'd love to meet someone with:
A Degree within Business Administration & Economics (or similar)
Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience from a similar role within Accounting or Audit
Experience from working within an accounting/auditing firm is a great advantage
Strong ability to manage projects, including coordination of cross-functional project teams
A genuine interest in working with accounting as well as developing accounting processes
Experience working with stock accounting within a global organization is a great advantage
Good MS office skills and strong analytical skills
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
