The primary function of the Accounting Administrator is to handle assigned accounting related responsibilities at Border.
Essential Functions:
The Accounting Administrator performs a wide range of functions including, but not limited to the following:
Process all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions daily
Monthly management / entering / booking of all incoming invoices from labels and other vendors
Daily registering of payments
Book and file expense reports and credit card payments
File all accounting documentation and maintain the filing system
Assisting in Border bookkeeping incl. VAT administration
Management of all Border bank accounts
Set up new customer and vendor accounts
Process weekly approved payment runs to vendors
Label statement runs including digital sales integration
Vendor chargebacks as needed
Process customer ad credits, shortage credits, damage credits and other customer service requests
Weekly approved payment runs to vendors
Create weekly on hold list and provide overview to company and stakeholders
Send weekly payment reminders to overdue customers
Sort and deliver mail daily
Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Education, Experience, and Minimum Requirements
Degree in accounting or related field, or commensurate experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience as an Accountant
Must be an intermediate Excel user.
Must be able to prioritize and have good communication and organizational skills.
Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and take ownership of work.
Must have great attention to detail.
Proven ability to work with all levels of staff within the organization and to demonstrate commitment to principles of equity and inclusion and support for diversity.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Fluent English written and spoken is required.
Preferred Requirements
2 years of accounting experience preferred.
Music industry accounting experience preferred.
Netsuite software experience.
