About the position
As an accountant at AWA, you will work in our Finance department. Together with your colleagues, you form a closely cooperating work team where you share both tasks and responsibility for deadlines and delivery quality. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, there is both work of a repetitive nature while also containing tasks that require flexibility and adhoc handling. Our team has global responsibility for our finance operations.
At AWA, we constantly strive to meet our client's expectations in a flexible manner, and therefore your ability to further develop and adapt our workflow to clients' needs will be highly valued. The role also involves many areas of contact, both inside and outside the organization.
Your tasks will primarily involve:
• Month and year end closings
• Accruals
• Reservations
• Revaluations
• Various account reconciliations
• VAT
• General payroll tax
• Maintenance of e.g. fixed assets
• Routines and processes
The position is based in our headquarters in Malmö with the flexibility to work up to two days a week from home. You will report to Karolina Forsland who is Chief Accountant and Team leader for the accounting team.
Preferable start date is as soon as possible (considering any notice period).
Who are you?
We are looking for you with a few years of experience and good knowledge in accounting related tasks, for example in accounting, financial statements, VAT and reconciliations. If you have experience of VAT in service companies and preparation of annual reports it is meritorious. Also experience of a group with foreign subsidiaries is an advantage.
You have a university degree in business administration or economics. You also have a few years of work experience, perhaps from an audit firm or from a group with international subsidiaries.
Furthermore, you are fluent in Swedish and English, and if you have additional language skills in Danish or Norwegian, this is especially appreciated!
