ABOUT THE ROLE
Power Factors is seeking a talented Accountant to join our finance team. If you are located outside of Gothenburg but living in Sweden, you will be working remotely but some travel to the Gothenburg office is required occasionally.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Manage the day-to-day full cycle accounting including A/R and A/P processes, general ledger working papers, and capital assets of specific group companies.
- Preparing financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Establishing relationships with the sales team and reviewing client contracts as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with local statutory reporting requirements.
- Participate in the annual audit process.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and long-term forecasting models as needed.
- Preparing compliance documents.
- Preparation of ad hoc company financial analysis as requested by management.
- Coordinating with members of the finance team to improve financial procedures and streamline processes.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Participate in the monthly US GAAP Close process for EMEA entities, including but not limited to, preparing intercompany JE entries and invoices, allocating bank transactions, and preparing funding requests for intercompany settlements.
- Preparation of VAT reconciliations and filings.
- Some travel to the Gothenburg office is required (Less than 20%)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

This also means that you are effective at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities, work well under pressure, and are driven by continuous learning and growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox :
- Post-secondary education in Accounting; Enrolled in and working towards completion of a professional accounting designation would be considered an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- US GAAP knowledge and experience in an international and multi-currency environment.
- Experience with accounting programs such as NetSuite would be considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Capability to work both independently and cross-functionally in an autonomous work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; Swedish, or any other additional language desirable
