tWe are seeking a person to support effective and accurate maintenance of the accounts of the University, budget control function and other finance, accounting and controlling/financial analysis related activities and services. Under the supervision of the Finance Officer, the position holder will provide support and assist in the delivery of financial services of the University and be responsible for dedicated areas within Finance.
Duties
• Various finance and accounting tasks
• Focal point for finance related aspects of the university to be implemented in a new ERP system
• Focal point for accounts maintenance and budget control
• Provide assistance in financial management and reporting requirements
Qualifications
• A relevant Advanced Degree, preferably MA/MBA (Finance, Accounting), or a combination of a relevant Bachelor's degree plus a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CPA) or equivalent professional certification
• At least 5 years of working experience in accounting, finance, controlling and/or financial analysis in an international environment
• Knowledge of MS Office and IPSAS, knowledge of Agresso and experience in ERP system would be an advantage
• Proficiency in English, knowledge of Swedish of advantage

WMU wishes to enhance its role as a global centre of excellence for postgraduate education and research in the maritime field. WMU offers Master of Science programs in several maritime areas, and a Ph.D. in Maritime Administration.
