The Scandinavian cluster Finance department is looking for an Accountant to the Accounts Receivable team with focus on and responsibility for collections covering all three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark for Maersk Line and Safmarine. The position will be reporting directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
The position is located at the Maersk Sweden office in Gothenburg.
General Areas of responsibilities
• Work towards a reduction in Days Sales Outstanding and overdue %
• Standardize the way we work with both internal and external customers in the Accounts Receivable process
• Ensure follow up is done through statements, dunnings, and external collection processes to collect timely
• Maintain good working relationship with Customers to drive adherence to ML Credit Agreements
• Ensure incoming payments are registered correctly and timely and follow up with GSC (Global Service Centres) and customers
The Candidate
The ideal candidate is ambitious, result-driven, structured and able to handle multiple tasks in parallel with focus on the right priorities. The person is thorough and structured with a high attention to detail and quality. In addition has the desire to evaluate and drive improvement of the current processes as well as ability to meet required goals and deadlines on a timely and accurate manner. Customer focus and cooperative talent to enable and develop cross departmental processes/collaborations are strongly valued. The person should well organized with a sense of urgency and possess good communications skills. We are looking for a person with financial background who preferably has experience in credit management or Accounts Receivable tasks.
Fluency in a Scandinavian language and strong verbal and written skills in English are required.
Additional desirable skills:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related.
SAP R/3 knowledge/experience is preferred
Advanced knowledge in Excel
