About the role
The role as Accountant is a position within Skruf Finance Team. Reporting to the Factory Controller, the core function of the role is to have overall responsibility for accounts payable, fixed asset registers and control of product write offs. You work with our Shared Service Center (SSC) to ensure that accounts payable are processed in a timely, efficient and secure manner, and to ensure that all invoices are correctly approved before they are processed for payment. You will be responsible for accounting for assets during construction and reconciliation of projects through collaboration with the Project Managers.
The team consists of two Financial Controllers, one Accountant, along with one Controller.
The role as Accountant also involves supporting the team when needed, as well as assisting with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
The role as Accountant is a temporary position, covering for parental leave with end date 31 December 2024.
Location: Skruf Snus Factory, Sävsjö (Sweden)
The principal responsibilities include:
Accounting -
Fixed Asset Accounting
Control of inventory movements and waste/write-off analysis / reporting
Account Reconciliations
Accounts Payable Query Management
Finance Master Data Management
Budgeting & Cost Management -
Preparation of forecasts and budgets for Capital Investments and Depreciation
Support, guide and challenge Project Managers to manage their Capital Investment expenditure
Financial Control -
Ensure there is a robust financial control environment
Implement tight budgetary control over spending
Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in finance, business studies, accounting, economics or equivalent, or has experience as a financial assistant or accountant.
You have an analytical and investigative personality with attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture and be able to run several projects at the same time.
Good knowledge of Excel and Power Point is essential.
CIMA/ACA/ACCA, QAD qualifications and knowledge in IFRS is viewed as desirable.
Experience from working in international groups and accounting in the manufacturing industry is also viewed as desirable.
We also see that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a growing company with a high pace, which means that you should be a flexible team player.
The position requires that you are fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
