We are looking for an Accountant for a function in the Parent Company Accounting department of Atlas Copco AB.
The Parent Company Accounting team is part of the Group Controlling & Accounting organization and is responsible for the accounting to reporting of the parent company in the Atlas Copco Group. We also provide finance support to all Group Center functions based in Sickla, including coordination of the pension program for our Swedish entities.
As a member of the Parent Company Accounting team the main tasks for the position are:
Responsible for your own area of in the Accounting to Reporting process,
Act as a backup for others as well as participate in job rotation activities, which will involve handling of accounts payable and support of the Prague Hub when needed.
Work with our Group Reporting System,
Deal with operational and statutory accounting, cost analysis and preparation of management reports and presentations. Additional ad hoc duties to meet the Group 's needs.
Manage and plan activities together with team members to achieve a higher level of compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
Manage, develop, and constantly improve processes (Accounting to Reporting, Order to cash and Purchase to Pay) together with other team members.
Provide finance support to the other functions in the Parent Company.
Additional ad hoc duties to meet the Group 's/ Atlas Copco AB needs.
Share knowledge, aiming to improve the quality and increase the competence of the team.
For the right person, this function is a great opportunity to experience accounting from A to Z and it will allow you to build a solid foundation within accounting to reporting, acquire a broad knowledge in various areas such as IFRS, K3, taxation and more, as well as getting a good understanding of how Atlas Copco AB is organized.
In the monthly and quarterly closings, the tempo is high, with strict timelines and quality requirements.
You report to: Finance Manager, Parent Company Accounting.
What we can expect from you:
We are looking for a person with a minimum of 1-3 Years' experience from a finance department or a role as analyst/ finance support in a Customer Center or Product Company, and with a relevant diploma.
You Manage and plan activities together with team members to achieve a higher level of compliance of local GAAP and IFRS.
You manage to work and deliver well under tight deadlines and in stressful situations with the ability to deal with the pressure and unforeseen events.
You manage, develop, and constantly improve processes (Accounting to Reporting, Order to cash and Purchase to Pay) together with other team members.
You have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish (written and oral)
You are a team player and function well in project teams and you are flexible to be supportive to both team members and to the stakeholders.
You are looking for better ways to deliver lasting results, and you are constantly looking to increase the efficiency of your efforts and ways to develop yourself professionally
You ensure quality and consistency in deliverables, look for areas of improvement, follow rules and instructions and comply with legal requirements.
You are aware of the obstacles that might occur when implementing new routines and processes
You have good analytical skill
Your understanding of ERP systems is good and having experience in SAP being a plus
You have a strong knowledge in and passion for accounting
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Administration.
