What we are looking for
We're looking for an Account Manager/Sales to strengthen our team in Uppsala, Sweden. If you excel at building strong customer relationships, driving sales strategies, and working with cross-functional teams, this could be a great opportunity for you.
As an Account Manager, you'll lead the development of Optinova's Industrial Business Line in key European markets such as UK, Switzerland, Italy, Nordic country and Germany. You'll act as the bridge between customer needs and Optinova's internal teams, driving business growth and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead customer collaborations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Develop strategic plans: Create growth and activity plans for new and existing customers while contributing to rolling forecasts.
Collaborate globally: Work closely with teams across Europe, Finland, Thailand, and the US to align strategies and technical innovations.
Drive technical discussions: Understand customer needs, contribute to Optinova's Group Technology & Capability Roadmap, and support R&D projects with market insights.
Represent Optinova: Meet customers, attend events, and expand our market presence.
Support internal alignment: Present compelling business cases for large-scale deals and facilitate collaboration between sales, R&D, production, and customer service teams.

Required skills and experience
Relevant educational background and degree in business, commerce and/or engineering
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally with technical products in industrial markets.
Experience working internationally or in global teams.
Fluent in English (additional European languages are an advantage).

Valuable skills and experience
Minimum five years of sales experience, B2B, in a sales role
Strong project management and strategic thinking skills.
Deep understanding of customer needs with the ability to scale up and transform ideas into sales opportunities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in international settings.
Familiarity with ISO 13845 standards or similar regulatory knowledge is a plus.

Details
Location: Uppsala, Sweden (hybrid possibilities: 3 days on-site, 2 remote).
Travel: Up to 30-40 overnight stays annually.
Work Permit: A valid work permit for Sweden is required.
