www.perkinelmer.comWe are now looking for an Account Manager to strengthen our Molecular Diagnostics team in the Nordics. As Account Manager for Diagnostics you will be responsible for the commercial, operational and strategic objectives in the Nordic activities. You will report to the Molecular Diagnostics EMEA Sales Manager and be part of the Nordic Diagnostics team. The Molecular Diagnostics product lines covers sample preparation with automated and manual nucleic acids extraction/isolation systems, microarrays and rapid genetic analysis (BACs-on-Beads).
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for sales, marketing strategies and customer support in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Your main responsibilities will be to:
• actively scout for new opportunities at existing and potential new accounts.
• maintain accurate customer and prospect information utilizing approved information and database tools and technologies.
• provide hands-on training to customers and to actively support the set-up of new products and technologies.
• provide high level information about techniques and products with the continuous aim of optimizing sales success.
• ensure the territory prospect pipeline is populated with a balance of short, mid and long term prospects sufficient for the continuous attainment of the short and long term targets.
We are looking for a results oriented person with proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership. We expect you to have the ability to operate independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment with an aptitude and desire to sell. We also expect you to have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems. To be successful in this position you need to be highly communicative, have good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. You are fluent in Danish, Swedish and/or Norwegian and have good understanding of all the Nordics languages and also possess good English skills which are essential for this position. To be successful in this role you should have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Science (biology, biochemistry or molecular biology) and/or experience in a similar role. Please note there will be frequent traveling in this position.
The position is located in the Danish office in Copenhagen or in the Swedish office in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm. As we expect you to visit customers, most of your time (3-4 days per week), we provide you with the possibility to work from your home office.
