Surface Chemistry a business unit of AkzoNobel, operates in 50 countries, employing over 1500 people. About the position
We have an immediate opening for an individual who can fulfil the role as Account Manager Cleaning Applications within AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry EMEIA. This is a full time position reporting to the Global Marketing & Sales Manager Cleaning Applications. Cleaning Applications include products in areas such as industrial and institutional cleaning, household cleaning (hard surface cleaning) and biocides. The position will be based in Stenungsund- Sweden or France and will have responsibility for customers mainly in France and Italy, but also in Spain and Germany.

The main responsibility for the Account Manager is to through effective account management increase volume, revenue and contribution margin for assigned areas of responsibility.

You will contribute to the realization of the strategy for the business by
• pro-active account management with target customers and distributors

• developing new prospects, define and assess market opportunities to optimize profitability

• establish new business by identifying, documenting and following up on new opportunities

• analyze and prioritize accounts in relation to potential value in the segmentation process

• provide services related to customer segmentation, with the objective of increasing penetration at relevant accounts

• provide accurate forecasting on a monthly basis in forecasting tool

• in a timely manner enter all relevant information into the CRM system

Job requirements / Candidate profile

To enjoy and be successful in this position you should have an entrepreneurial drive as well as a strategic mindset. You are result oriented and driven by taking on new challenges. You also have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

You hold a Master or Bachelor degree in Science, Chemistry or Economics and have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in technical sales or technical service positions, preferably within the surfactants area. Experience from the specialty chemicals and the industry sector is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French are required. Additional skills in Italian is an advantage.
