We develop and provide a comprehensive range of force and dimension measurement products designed to improve control, productivity and quality in a wide variety of processes and industries. We are now looking for a materials physicist who wants to grow into one of our future specialists. You will be challenged by complex and very interesting issues at the core of our business. "We proudly measure things others can't", and with your help the customer value will improve even further!
Tasks
In your role, you will develop methods and technologies for measuring and identifying phenomena and behaviors of materials and its elements under different conditions. Your work will result in measurement products for our customers. You will be the material physics guide and participate in every part of the product development chain, from measurements and analyzes to delivery and installation of the final measuring systems at our customers.
Our measurement technologies rely on electromagnetics, and our development environment deals with many esoteric material aspects. Our business relies heavily on understanding also the engineering aspects of materials since our customers are in the material processing business.
Your work will be very pragmatic and in close collaboration with colleagues, customers and suppliers to solve problems and reach desired results in your work. You will also be given time to maintain and develop your own expertise. You will be part of a group with a unique width of expertise within mathematics, material science, physics, electronics, hardware and other expertise.
Requirements
If you have at least a master's degree in material science or physics with materials focus, are pragmatic and result oriented, you will love this job. You probably have a very good material physics intuition since it is impossible to know all about all the material aspects we are into. A confirmed R&D experience is desired, and a good command of plasticity, physical properties and thermodynamics. You may also have experience from metals industry with a few fields of expertise therein. You don't have to master everything to apply for this position. You will be introduced to the more esoteric electromagnetic aspects and other things you need by inspiring and highly capable colleagues. You need to be proficient in English as most of our customers are abroad.
