You will be a part of ABB Measurement and Analytics in Västerås, which is a business unit within the Industrial Automation division. We develop and provide a comprehensive range of measurement and analytics products designed to improve control, productivity and quality in a wide variety of processes and industries. Our unusual basic principles are well suited for harsh environments which has provided us with a long track record of satisfied customers. We are world leading within these business areas with a large market share over the world.
We are now looking for an analytics physicist who wants to grow into one of our future specialists. You will be challenged by complex and very interesting issues at the core of our business. "We proudly measure things others can't", and with your help the customer value will improve even further!

Your responsibilities
You will be working with the mathematical and physical descriptions of the electromagnetic phenomena in our products.
You will be the analytic physics guide and participate in every part of the product development chain, from the physical understanding and analysis, to delivery and installation of the final measuring systems at our customers.
Our measurement technologies are based on magnetic fields, and our everyday development deals with many aspects, theoretical as well as practical, and thereof your work will be very pragmatic and in close collaboration with colleagues, customers and suppliers to solve problems and reach desired results in your work. But you will also be given time to maintain and develop your own expertise.
The group where you will be part of is a one with a unique width of expertise within mechanics, material science, physics, electronics, hardware and other expertise.

Your background
A master's degree in a relevant area.
A confirmed R&D experience is desired but you don't have to master everything to apply for this position as your inspiring colleagues will teach you what you need.
Pragmatic and result-oriented personality.
Proficiency in English as most of our customers are abroad.
