hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Suderbyn Ekonomisk Förening i Gotland Suderbyn Permaculture Ecovillage is offering work and residence for devoted individuals that want to combine volunteer engagement for sustainable transition, living in eco-collective with paid work. Suderbyn is located 8 km south of Visby and at the moment 16 people are permanently living here. The village is in constant development and we now need more engaged inhabitants.
On Suderbyn we?re building a holistic ecovillage to practice what we preach. We?re involved in projects fostering sustainability on all levels; on Gotland, in Sweden and internationally, with the message of the necessity for more sustainable solutions and values. As a co-worker you will be part of a team of 5 half-time employees that lives together with other Swedish and foreign ecovillage inhabitants and international volunteers. We offer varied tasks with good conditions for a life in balance. The paid work will consist of project management (including both administration and supervising in practical areas such as gardening, animals and building), coordination in the village and contact with authorities. There are also vast opportunities to develop and run new project. Voluntarily you are expected to participate in the practical work with gardening, animals, food processing and cooking. You also have the opportunity to participate in the social life in the village with yoga, meditation, parties, events etc.
Living conditions are simple with small private rooms, common kitchen and living rooms as well as outdoor dry toilets. Material simplicity and community life are important cornerstones in the village.
We are looking for those who already practice a green lifestyle and are ready to take that engagement one step further. We believe that you would want to develop personally, work-wise and live more socially and ecologically coherently, as well as being an ambassador for Suderbyn and our way of life. Since the village works internationally and has inhabitants from many different countries we expect that you are well-acquainted with English, both spoken and written. Driving licence is also qualifying.
