The Climate System Department is responsible for all climate development within Volvo Car Group such as heating, ventilation, A/C systems, controls and attributes. We are 85 employees that soon will be divided into five different groups, and this position is within the group A/C & AUX heater systems group. The team contains of System Responsible, A/C specialist, Component Responsible, A/C Integration Engineer, Team leader, Design engineers and Project leaders. We are of different ages, backgrounds and experiences with open discussions and good fellowship among the teams.
As A/C System Project Leader your main responsibility will be A/C system projects in new car program and running changes. You will lead a cross functional team containing of Component Responsible, Integration Engineer, suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing engineers, SQM, testing department and other support team members within the company. You will do the reporting to the project management and A/C team leader regarding the progress of time, technique and cost. The position requires project leading experience and A/C system knowledge. The work demands a person that efficiently finds ways to implement the best possible solutions with no deviations regarding quality.
Main responsibilities
• Manage the A/C system tasks
• Report task status to the A/C system team leader, project management and Group manager
• Lead the cross functional team both internally VCC and towards the supplier to manage the deliveries according to the project plan
• Manage and communicate detailed project plans for all concerned parts of the project
• Document and communicate all decisions within the team
• Delegate and drive daily activities
Required qualifications
• B.Sc in Engineering, preferably Mechanical engineering
• M.Sc in Mechanical/Electrical engineering is meritorious
• Knowledge about the A/C system and its functionality
• Project leading experience
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driver license type B
